• Entry fees for the 2008 event will be:
  
  Booked BEFORE race day:
  All races EXCEPT Family & Fun and Sprogs: £20.00
  Family & Fun and Sprogs: £6.00
  
  Booked ON race day:
  All races EXCEPT Family & Fun and Sprogs: £25.00
  Family & Fun and Sprogs: £8.00
  
  In addition to the entry fee we are offering an additional sponsorship scheme to further raise extra money for the charities we support.
  Although this is entirely voluntary, we do encourage entrants to take up this option and sponsorship forms can be downloaded from our website www.rowelsrotary.co.uk
  
  There is an advantage to riders gaining some sponsorship :
  If the amount of sponsorship raised by a rider exceeds the rider's entrance fee by at least £10 (and the sponsorship monies are brought on the day) then that rider's entrance fee will be returned in full on the day.
  
  On the day of the race (9th November) riders will be expected to bring with them as much of the sponsorship monies that they have already collected.

• There are NO ‘Family Unit’ or ‘Team’ categories this year and the Family and Fun Ride and the Sprogs Ride will be run together as one race and ALL riders in this race will win a small prize in addition to the trophies in each category.
• The Youths and Juniors race will take place at the same time on the same course but the normal trophies in each category will be awarded as normal.
• Sunday registration will be open at 8.00am and close at 12.00pm.
• Bookings can be entered by post or via the website at www.rowelsrotary.co.uk although we do encourage website entry to greatly simplify and automate our administration.
  For website entries, race numbers will be confirmed by return and this confirmation should be printed out and brought with the rider on the day. Riders who have not pre-booked can turn up on the day and register as ‘late entries’ but the entry fees will be increased as detailed above.
• Proof of date of birth may be required at the discretion of the Course Marshall.
• Entrants must be present themselves with bike in good working condition at allocated time. Delay will result in missing the race.
• Riders must use recognised Mountain Bikes.
• Broken bikes and chains may be repaired or removed anytime on the course but no bike may be replaced.
• All riders must wear at all times a hard-shell helmet conforming with ANSI, SNELL, or BS standards.
• The Course Marshall’s decision will be final and any assistant Marshalls can judge dangerous or bad practice and may disqualify or delay a rider at their discretion.
• Appeals can be lodged within one hour of the completion time.
• First race starts at 9.00am.
• Only registered competitors will be allowed to ride the course, Sprogs and Family & Fun will not enter the quarry.
  

FUN RUN EVENT

• This is for pure FUN enjoyment - no trophies
  
  
• The entry fee is £5 per person or £12 for a family of three or more (up to five maximum)
  
  
• Runners/walkers follow the black arrows on RED backgrounds ( Mountain Bikers have black arrows on a YELLOW background for their races)
  
  
• A commemorative medal will be given to each runner/walker crossing the finish line who has paid the entrance fee
  
  
• The length of the course is approximately 5km.
  
  
• Start time is 11.15am sharp at the Railway Station in the LWV Park.
  Use the Bike Registration Office to register (or book in if pre-registered)
